The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will commence the Class 10 (Secondary) and Class 12 (Senior Secondary) Board Examinations 2026 from February 17, 2026. The examinations will be conducted in a single shift from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM across designated centres in India and abroad.

  • Class 10:
    The first examination will be Mathematics (Basic and Standard).
  • Class 12:

To maintain uniformity and fairness in the examination process, CBSE has issued the following guidelines:

  • Students must carry their admit card and valid school ID to the examination centre.
  • Only blue or royal blue ballpoint pens should be used for writing the examination.
  • Candidates are permitted to carry a transparent water bottle.
  • Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators (unless specifically allowed), and other communication devices are strictly prohibited.
  • Students should reach the examination centre well before the reporting time to avoid last-minute inconvenience.

With Mathematics being the first paper for Class 10 students, the Board and academic experts recommend the following last-minute preparation strategies:

  • 18,57,479 students are registered for the Class 12 Board Examinations 2026.
  • More than 1 crore answer booklets will be evaluated.
