Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) (formerly UPTU) was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, vide Act Amendment No. 1156(2) LXXIX-V-1-15-1(Ka), 24-2015 dated Sept 9, 2015 Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 23 of 2000. Under the University Act, ‘Technical Education’ includes programmes of education, research and training in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Town Planning, Pharmacy, Applied Arts & Crafts and such other programmes and areas that the central Government may in consultation with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) by notification in Gazette declare.

2. Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have appeared in NATA or JEE (Main) Paper 2 (Architecture).
- Must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects and minimum aggregate marks as per COA norms.
- Only fresh candidates or those who were not allotted seats earlier or who withdrew from earlier rounds are eligible for the special rounds.
- Must complete document verification and fee payment within the scheduled dates.
3. How to Apply
- Visit the official counselling website through AKTU’s homepage.
- Complete online registration for the appropriate special round (1 or 2).
- Pay the counselling fee of ₹20,000 online within the specified dates.
- Upload and verify required documents (mark sheets, NATA/JEE scorecard, domicile, ID proofs, etc.).
- Fill and lock your choice preferences of B.Arch colleges.
- Check seat allotment result on the announced date.
- If allotted, report physically to the allotted college within the reporting window with original documents and fees.
