New Delhi, February 25, 2026: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has commenced the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) 2026 for both 1st and 2nd year students, with the first-year papers beginning on February 25 and second-year exams scheduled to start from February 26, 2026.

Ahead of the exams, the Board has issued important hall ticket and exam day guidelines for all registered candidates. Hall tickets have been released by TSBIE and are mandatory for entry into examination centres. Students can obtain their admit cards through the official board portal or from their respective colleges.

Hall tickets contain essential details such as the candidate’s name, photograph, examination centre, subject-wise schedule and exam timings. Students have been advised to verify all information carefully and contact school authorities promptly in case of discrepancies to avoid any inconvenience on exam day.

The Board has clarified that no additional signatures or permissions from principals or college officials are required for students to enter the examination halls; showing a valid hall ticket is sufficient for entry.

TSBIE has also announced a five-minute grace period for students reporting to exam centres: examinations begin at 9 a.m., but candidates arriving up to 9:05 a.m. will still be allowed entry to reduce stress due to minor delays.

To support students during the exam period, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has introduced special travel arrangements, including free travel for male students with valid concessional bus passes to and from examination centres and flexible bus stops on request.

The Intermediate exams are being conducted across approximately 1,495 exam centres throughout Telangana, with a large deployment of supervisors and invigilators to ensure smooth and fair conduct.

Students are advised to carry only essential items such as pens and hall tickets to the examination rooms, avoid electronic devices, and reach centres well before the scheduled start time.

The 2026 board examinations will continue through March 18, 2026, covering all academic streams as per the official timetable.
