New Delhi, February 2026: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the application form for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MDS (NEET MDS) 2026. Eligible candidates seeking admission to postgraduate dental programmes (MDS) can now apply online through the official NBEMS portal.

As per the notification, the NEET MDS 2026 examination will be conducted in computer-based mode on May 2, 2026. The entrance test is the single national-level qualifying examination for admission to MDS courses in dental colleges across India.

Application Process

Candidates must complete the online application by entering personal, academic and contact details, followed by uploading scanned copies of the required documents, including a recent passport-size photograph and signature. Applicants are advised to review all entries carefully before final submission to avoid discrepancies.

Application Fee

The application fee is payable online using debit/credit card, net banking or UPI.

  • General/OBC/EWS: ₹3,500
  • SC/ST/PwD: ₹2,500
    Applicants should retain a copy of the fee receipt and the submitted application form for future reference.

Exam Pattern

The NEET MDS 2026 will be a computer-based test comprising 240 multiple-choice questions based on the BDS syllabus. The duration of the examination is three hours. The marking scheme awards four marks for each correct answer with one mark deducted for every incorrect response. Unattempted questions carry no negative marking.

Eligibility and Important Instructions

Only candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria (including completion of BDS and compulsory internship as per norms) are permitted to apply. NBEMS has advised applicants to verify eligibility requirements, keep scanned documents ready, and submit the form well before the closing date to avoid last-minute technical issues.
