New Delhi, February 25, 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a revised examination date for candidates affected by the cancellation of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026 at two centres in Vaishali district, Bihar. The decision comes after Paper-II could not be conducted at these locations due to unavoidable circumstances during the February 7–8 exam cycle.

According to the official notification, the re-examination for Paper-II at the affected centres St. John’s Academy, Basmati Nagar (Centre Code: 125016) and Lakshya International Academy (Centre Code: 125014) has been scheduled for March 1, 2026.

Candidates who were allotted these centres will soon be able to download their revised admit cards through their application login on the official CTET portal ctet.nic.in. The Board has emphasised that the updated admit card is mandatory for entry into the examination hall.

The CBSE has clarified that no further opportunity will be provided to appear for the 21st edition of the CTET beyond this re-exam. Requests for any changes in examination centre or date will not be entertained.

In addition, the Board is expected to release the provisional answer keys and scanned OMR response sheets for both Paper-I and Paper-II on the official website. Candidates will be able to check and raise objections within the stipulated timeframe once these are published.

The CTET is a qualifying examination for aspiring teachers seeking appointment in central government schools and other institutions that recognise CTET certification as part of eligibility criteria.
