The official CTET 2026 answer key is expected to be released very soon on the official website ctet.nic.in. Along with the answer keys, CBSE will also upload the scanned copies of candidates’ OMR answer sheets so that everyone can check their responses properly.

Once the answer key is out, candidates can:

  • Download the provisional answer key
  • Check their responses using the OMR sheet
  • Raise objections if they feel any answer is incorrect (within the given time window)

CTET 2026 Exam at a Glance

The CTET February 2026 exam was conducted on February 7 and 8, 2026, across 140 cities in India.

  • Paper 1: For those who want to teach Classes 1 to 5
  • Paper 2: For those who want to teach Classes 6 to 8
  • Candidates aiming to teach both levels had to appear for both papers

Marking Scheme (No Stress About Negative Marks)

Good news for candidates:

  • All questions were MCQs
  • Each correct answer = 1 mark
  • No negative marking for wrong answers in either Paper 1 or Paper 2

So you won’t lose marks for incorrect attempts.

Answer Key Objections & Result

If you find any answer in the provisional key that seems wrong, you’ll get a chance to raise objections online.
After reviewing all objections, CBSE will release the final answer key.

The CTET 2026 result will be prepared based on this final answer key.
There will be no re-checking or re-evaluation after the results are declared.

CTET 2026 Qualifying Marks

To qualify CTET:

  • You need to score 60% or more
  • Schools may give relaxation to SC, ST, OBC, and differently-abled candidates as per government rules

CTET Paper 2 Cancelled at Two Centres in Bihar

CTET Paper 2 was cancelled at two centres in Bihar due to unavoidable reasons:

  • St. John’s Academy, Basmati Nagar, Hajipur
  • Lakshya International Academy

CBSE had announced that a re-exam would be conducted within 15 days, and affected candidates would be informed separately. The latest update on whether the re-exam has already taken place is still awaited.

After results are declared:

  • Your CTET marksheet and eligibility certificate will be available in digital format on DigiLocker
  • This makes it easy to download and use them for future job applications
