JEE Main 2026 January Session Result Update: Answer Key Revised, Link Awaited
The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 result is expected to be announced today, February 16, by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates who appeared for the January session will be able to download their scorecards once the result link is activated on the official website https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/.
Although the result link has already been generated, it is currently not active for students to access their scores.
Final Answer Key Released
NTA has released the final answer key for the B.E./B.Tech paper of the Joint Entrance Examination – Main 2026 Session 1.
According to the official update:
- Nine questions have been dropped from evaluation.
- Four questions have multiple correct answers.
The final scores will be calculated based on this revised answer key.

The JEE Main 2026 scorecard will display:

The list of toppers is also expected to be released along with the results.
Marks vs Percentile Explained
JEE Main results are announced in percentile format, not raw marks. The percentile score indicates a candidate’s performance relative to other candidates who appeared in the same session.
Cutoff and Rank Details
The NTA has clarified that the cutoff marks and All India Rank (AIR) will not be announced with the Session 1 result. These details will be released only after the completion of all sessions of JEE Main 2026.
