The National Testing Agency (NTA) has received multiple requests from candidates seeking an opportunity to modify their particulars in the Online Application Form for Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 – Session 1.
In the interest of students, NTA has decided to provide a one-time correction facility for candidates to review and update specific details in their submitted application forms.

Correction Schedule

Candidates must carefully verify all details by visiting the official website: https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/

No corrections will be entertained after 02 December 2025 (11:50 PM) under any circumstances.

Important Instructions

• This correction window is a one-time facility; no further opportunities for editing will be provided.
• Corrections must be done carefully and accurately.
• If any corrections result in a change of fee, the additional amount must be paid online via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
• Application submission for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1 will close on 27 November 2025, and no extension will be granted.

Annexure 1: Permitted Corrections in JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1 Application Form

1. Fields Not Allowed for Correction

Candidates cannot change the following details:

• Mobile Number
• E-mail Address
• Permanent Address
• Present Address
• Emergency Contact Details
• Candidate Photograph

2. Fields Allowed for Limited Correction (Any One Field)

Candidates may edit any one of the following:

• Candidate Name
• Father’s Name
• Mother’s Name

3. Fields Allowed for Full Correction

Candidates may edit all of the following:

• Class 10th / Equivalent Details
• Class 12th / Equivalent Details
• State Code of Eligibility

4. Examination City Choices

Candidates may modify:

• Examination City Preferences
• Medium of Examination

5. Fields Allowed for Full Correction (Category & Other Details)

Candidates may update:

• Date of Birth
• Gender
• Category
• Sub-category / PwD (If UDID verification is pending)
• Signature

6. Additional Field Allowed

• Paper Selection

7. Change in Identity Details

(Only for candidates who registered using identity proof other than Aadhaar)

• Aadhaar Details

Fee Implications

• If any correction leads to a change in fee, candidates must pay the additional amount as applicable.
• No fee refunds will be provided under any circumstances.

Final Note

• Only one-time correction is allowed. Once submitted, the form will be frozen and no further modifications can be made.
• Candidates are strongly advised to review the corrections thoroughly before final submission.
