All India Bar Examination Result Validity Extended Till 2026
In a major relief for law graduates nationwide, the Bar Council of India (BCI) has announced the extension of the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) result validity till March 31, 2026.
The decision comes in the wake of the Karnataka High Court’s intervention, which highlighted that several law graduates who successfully cleared the AIBE were unable to complete their enrolment with respective State Bar Councils due to administrative delays.
This extension ensures that such candidates remain eligible to practise law and are not disadvantaged by procedural backlogs.
The BCI stated that the measure aims to safeguard the interests of aspiring advocates, providing them with adequate time to complete their enrolment and commence their professional practice without interruption.
This development reaffirms the Council’s commitment to maintaining fairness and accessibility in the process of legal practice certification across India.
